Are they supposed to look like dolls?

I think it's hilarious that another of the services offered on that site is to remove unwanted relatives from your photos!!!

I came across a site that focuses on those awful 1970s boxed Halloween costumes that consisted of a cheap plastic mask and a smock made out of God knows what toxic material. This Ringo costume made me laugh so hard. Yikes!  ha2ha

I had to share my daughters' reactions. Now I'm laughing all over again:

ha2ha  Yikes! Sometimes the scariest things aren't even meant to be frightening...I think.

That reminds me of this picture that I came across a while ago. It's not true that things look better once you try them on!

That would be terrifying if I saw it heading towards me.  Like something from a Stephen King story.

I'm still snickering about that.   ha2ha

Which Beatle is that supposed to be, Kelley? Do you know?

That would be terrifying if I saw it heading towards me.

I think I'd run pretty fast if I ever saw anything like that approaching.

Oh, I know! I was trying to imagine finding that on the other side of my door on Trick or Treat night! It might even be scarier than my first Halloween as a homeowner in 1986. After the festivities ended, I heard a knock at my kitchen door. I knew I shouldn't open it, but since the stoop outside the door had no steps leading up to it I was, um, intrigued. I was shocked to discover three grown men. They were holding out pillowcases so I gave them some candy to get rid of them.  One of them actually complained because I didn't have a porch light on. I mumbled something about the lack of steps as I closed and locked the door. roll:)

The Ringo and George costumes were made by Ben Cooper Costumes who also made the flame retarded John and Paul Halloween costumes...

I remember kids walking around the neighborhood trick-or-treating and wearing wearing these costumes in the mid-1960s.  I was a teenager then and on Halloween my trick-or-treating days were over.  Instead we buried eggs in the sand for a few weeks so they would get rotten.  We also bought large pastel chalk and put them in socks and then hammered them till the chalk turned to dust.  So now we were completely armed for Halloween night and we'd roam around the neighborhood in packs and had rotten egg fights.  We wouldn't pick on the little kids in their costumes but we did mark them with the chalk socks to let other packs know not to bother them later.

Purple chalk was my personal perrenial color choice for Halloween night.   :)

On my third Halloween as a homeowner, and about 9 weeks after I'd given birth to my first child, I opened the door one time to find my OB/GYN standing on the porch with his daughter. I was mortified at the time.  ha2ha  These days it takes a lot more to embarrass me.

There's something else my Halloween Pack armed ourselves with in addition to the chalk socks and rotten eggs.  It involved paper bags, matches, and something else that we collected over the preceding couple of weeks.   ;D
