That's a send up of Mean Girls!  ;)

I just knew it didn't seem like something George or John would say!  ;D

I don't know about John, but George would have said...

I just bought a replacement Revolver CD, because mine somehow went missing several months ago. I didn't realize I grabbed the U.S. Capitol "mini-album," and it doesn't have "I'm Only Sleeping" on it.  :(  I should have looked at it more carefully before tossing it into the cart.

Anyone who buys one the new U.S. Albums CDs individually should get the U.S. Revolver thrown in for free; that's about what's it's worth.  Sorry you got stuck with that one.

I love this scene Barry!

It is a great scene. One thing that always intrigued me about it was this poster - or whatever it is - on the office wall...

I suppose it might have been regarded as "pop art" at the time, but to me it has a certain Peter Max-ish, psychedelic feel to it, predating all that by a few years.

Anyway, whoever was responsible for set decoration in this film was spot on in this scene, representing the offices of the trend anticipating/manipulating media folks. Interesting.

 :)

Has anyone else read this? Lewisohn recommends it in one of the early footnotes so I thought why not? There are some new (to me) pictures in it anyway.

Amazon has used copies from ~14 USD and up. I'll definitely have to get one.

I haven't actually started reading it yet Kathy so I hope it's good. I'm still working on the big tome. I also have this one waiting in line but I picked it up at the library:

So many Beatles books, so little time!

The editor in me notices that the "L" in that sign on the book cover was added at the last minute.  ha2ha

So many Beatles books, so little time!

I know what you mean! I have several stacked up waiting to be read, and soon more will be on the way. Also, I just realized I have a bunch of unread ocean liner books that I can now read. When the kids were little, I was too afraid one of them would spill juice on, or rip, or otherwise ruin any of the glossy big ones or the expensive rare ones. I just pulled a biography of Charles Lightoller off the shelf the other day and remarked, "Hey, I can read this now. I spent $90 on it [on eBay] almost 10 years ago!" My elder daughter was shocked that I'd spent that much on a book, but that's probably half what she's blown on One Direction merchandise the past couple of years.  ;)  Besides, it's a BOOK, and I can rationalize pretty much any book purchase.

I just bought one too from amazon.co.uk. Used of course. Maybe we should start a reading group.  glassesslip  ;D

Yeah, I noticed that too! Cute! Along those lines I'm sure you're well aware of this sort of thing but it boggled my mind when I read it:
I Sold My Undergraduate Thesis to a Print Content Farm

Enjoy those books Kathy. I can't think of a better investment.  :)
