Japanese guys perception of Yoko Ono
« on: February 27, 2016, 01:27:58 AM »

Did Japanese guys consider Yoko hot?  I'm american born raised and degraded.  So I wonder if I were a Japanese guy would I have considered Yoko a babe?  Or am I biased against her because I'm not Japanese?  I mean she was all right, but she seemed sort of like an eccentric black witch to me.  She'd have been great in the Wizard of Oz, I think.  The dark witch vs the white witch.  In the end, who would have prevailed?  Well, in real life, she did.

I hope I don't have any weird dreams after seeing it!

She was! I always loved Bewitched and still wish I could wiggle my nose and get the same results that Samantha did. And even when she was wearing her flying suit she still looked sweet.

You read my mind before I read your question!  I think I'm cured now.

I probably would have needed to pay a shrink hundreds of dollars.  Thanks for the deal!

Ah, the benefits of being a Beatles fan in a community of Beatles fans!

I sometimes fear that we are a dying breed.  Maybe our time has come.  It's inevitable that all good things must end at some point, right?

BTW:  your pics brought out an expression in me which I haven't used in many many years, namely:  Hubba hubba!  (Now I've really dated myself.)

Sabrina wasn't either.

Here's Yoko compared to another Japanese woman.  What do you think?

I think that none of John's glasses were any good.

Well. The second one is incomparably cuter. But really, how good of a performance artist is she?

To compare to Yoko, how good does she possibly need to be?

I always cringe when I read quotes of John going on about how Yoko was an "equal" in terms of accomplishment. The poor lad really needed a slap.

I think it's fair to say that Yoko was not beautiful. She wasn't ugly either (I'm talking physical looks here). I think the word "plain" was almost invented for her.

I don't know for Japanese guys, but I like Yoko's looks. I love dark-haired women, and yes - she was hot!
John once said: 'The press actually called her ugly. She's not ugly - and if she was - you don't say that about a girl. They even say 'attractive'
about most looking people just to be kind.' Here's the video with mentioned above statement:

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEn7LlZZO9U" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEn7LlZZO9U</a>

I also like Janis Joplin - her voice was great and I and her face, figure and colorful clothes (designed by her friend). Some people were also very mean to her:
Quote
Among Joplin's last public appearances were two broadcasts of The Dick Cavett Show. In her June 25, 1970 appearance, she announced that she would attend her ten-year high school class reunion. When asked if she had been popular in school, she admitted that when in high school, her schoolmates "laughed me out of class, out of town and out of the state."[53] (During her college years, Joplin had been voted "Ugliest Man on Campus" by frat boys. /from Wikipedia/

Or this:
Quote
Rolling Stone journalist Chet Flippo reported that she wore enough jewelry for a "Babylonian whore."

What a gentleman!

So, miss Joplin will be remembered for her great voice, her albums and stylish clothes.
And this journalist will be remembered for describing her in those ugly words he used.
