I could go see the Bootleg Beatles on Saturday. I've never seen them. Any opinions?

Since I don’t live in the UK I’ve never actually seen them, but I have seen a few tribute bands here in the US. Based on what I see of these guys online I’d definitely go see them. I read some very good reviews of their June performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Backed by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, they celebrated the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper’s by performing the entire album.

I’m not sure who the Fifth Bootleg Beatle is in this video but I doubt he’ll be on stage Saturday. LOL

Tribute bands aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but I warmed to the notion considerably after my first show.

Yes, they do look very nice don't they?

Hey Barry...you makin’ fun of me because I used the word “see” and variations thereof four times?

I think you should go this Saturday. Stevie and Moogmodule will be seeing the original Bootleg Beatle that night in Brisbane...

Thanks for the opinions. I'm a bit concerned that it appears to be an entirely new band under the same name. I'll think about it today and make my final decision tonight. There are a scattering of seats available.
BTW: I can't see the youtube videos. I don't know why, but youtube videos, even those I post myself, don't come up for me. I just see blank space.

Well, if the tickets aren’t too pricey it could still be worth taking a chance. Depends on how daring you feel!

It’s probably a browser issue. Internet explorer seems to be a culprit. I don’t know about Microsoft’s Edge.
We just happen to have a thread about this very thing:

Tickets are £31. Not sure how much that is in US$ since Brexit. Probably about $0.25.
I'm on an older safari. I'll try some different browsers.
EDIT: I can see the youtube videos in Chrome.

He'll put on a great show on Saturday.

Perhaps the very first Beatles tribute band was the cast of Beatlemania which premiered on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre on May 31, 1977 and ran until October 17, 1979 for a total of 1006 performances.

I saw the show in July, 1977. The original cast was...
Mitch Weissman-Paul
Joe Pecorino-John
Leslie Fradkin-George
Justin McNeil-Ringo
It was like going to a Beatles concert!
I saw the show again two years later before it closed. Despite a change in the cast, the experience was still the same. The new cast members were very talented and, again, it was like being at a Beatles concert.
I'm sure you'll find the concert this Saturday quite enjoyable should you go.

The quality of this video is not the greatest but I think it will give you an idea of just how good the cast of Beatlemania was...

You'll probably be pleased with The Bootleg Beatles' member change.

Every once in a while, even at a small obscure county fair, it's possible to find a Beatles tribute band where one of the members comes real close to being the real thing...

In the case of Abbey Road, Nate Bott comes as close as possible to being the young John Lennon.

And, of course we have The Fab Four...

They're also great at doing The Rutles...

The Fab Four
The Beatles are the only band with a tribute band that is a tribute band of a Beatles tribute band. ;D

I think if they sound good then, why not, should be fun. Sometimes the "Beatle banter" can be a bit much but I go for the music. We got a chance to see the Fab Faux over here and they were really great. They don't bother to dress the part but the sound is damn authentic.
