Ewww,,not a fan of the song and love the Cowsills, but that might be the worst rendition of that song that I have ever heard.

That was John singing lead.  He was 12 at the time.  You have to hear the whole song on their live In Concert album.  Their hit single Hair came from this album.

There's some very good stuff on this album.  There are no original songs and all are covers.  Each Cowsill chose a popular song of the time and was spotlighted in this live concert.

I bought this CD several years ago.  The link I posted allows you to hear 30 second samples of all the songs on the album.

This was a huge hit for them way back! it reminds me of any of the best songs The Mamas and the Papas did. Good song!
