Again, there WAS no funeral. How could Paul be accused of not going to the funeral when there was none?

Did John have a funeral? If so, did any of the remaining Beatles attend? And was it true that he was cremated against his own wishes?
There was no funeral for John. John was shot on December 8, 1980, and was cremated December 10, 1980 at Hartsdale Crematorium in New York City. Yes, it is true that John did not believe in cremation and did not want to be cremated after his death. I have read several quotes by John stating this fact. Yoko, however, feared that Lennon-obsessed fans would disturb and possibly dig up his burial site, thus the decision for cremation was made.

I was listening to Beatle Brunch the other morning, and it featured a special about George Martin. I was amazed to hear Paul say about Martin: "his great talent was that he allowed us to do what we wanted in the studio". (I don't recall if Paul used the word "talent" or "strength" or "ability," but it was something to this effect).

I agree with Paul that this was indeed something about George Martin that worked out well for the Beatles.. but the way he said it was not so much honoring George Martin as it was stroking himself! It really made Paul once again sound like an egotist. When you're naming a special talent of a person, should you say: " he always left me alone so I could do what 'I' wanted to do"?

Similarily, you're only reacting to this as I've written it from memory, and the way it reads in print as opposed to the spoken word (which, of course, is all you can do unless you heard Paul say it on the radio show).
