i hear you.  i'd actually prefer the stereo remastered cd's to look more like the monos.  i've never liked those plastic cd cases- so very 1980's.

I just asked for the Box of Vision for Christmas.  I hope it is a cool as it looks on the site.  I want the booklet with all of the album artwork.

i've now heard the mono AHDN, SP and AR-  honestly, though obviously better sounding than what i've been listening to for 40 years, i'm much less impressed w/ the improvements of these monos than the revelation which is AR- i've always thought this was the best sounding B's album (w/ the best musicianship), but now it's so beautifully rounded, full of boldness and subtlety.  mccartney's bass, which always ruled here, is now much more up front and dynamic- i read recently that one feels like they're right there in the studio- watching and listening to paul sitting on a stool w/ his fender laying down his bass lines, and this is absolutely true.  even on lennon's and harrison's personal creations, paul drives them along.  highlights for me were come together- forceful and punchy- the best B's opener made better, and i want you- now a true powerhouse of layered sound.  what inspired lennon to play the most tasteful, jazzy, lead guitar (this side of 'something') in the band's history?  but i think most of the talk will be about the side 2 medley, which perhaps benefits most from the remastering.  the detail here from incomparable harmonizing, to night sounds, to straightforward rock will astound.  despite lennon's cynicism, let's just tip our hat here and now to mccartney and martin for perhaps the best produced sequence in popular music.  take notice- it's better than you ever imagined.

well here's a few questions,

with the new re-issues, is everybody going to keep the 1987 cd's?

everybody who loves Let It Be..Naked, are you going to bother buying the old newly remastered version?

is everybody bothered on the remastered version of the Yellow Submarine 1969 album with the George
Martin compositions on? ( i know its got a classic on their, Hey Bulldog, but the i hardly listen to the rest of it)

I already have a few albums from download...the stereo remasters. And they are AMAZING. Totally worth the wait. The harmony vocals in particular.

Yes. Rule (although I tend to let it slip...) is that we don't post links to officially released material. In the past we have made links available for a pre-listen tho. Plus it isn't released officially yet. I will remove the links after 9/9 if you post them.

Question 1: The old CD's will be demoted to my car CD's.

Questions 2 and 3: If I get the remastered stereo box set, then those will obviously wind up in my collection.

Safest thing to do is PM the links. Many sites were closed down last year, so be careful.
