I'm so sorry to hear that you lost a sister some years ago. It's always awful to lose a family member, but during the holidays is particularly hard.

These are some of the lessons in life that have to be learned, Lana.  Unfortunately, sensitive people are hurt in the process of learning.  But you'll be a stronger person as a result and more keenly aware and enlightened .  You'll understand yourself, and others, much better.

I'm sorry you feel bad right now Lana. I know it's a tough thing to go through but I think that even good people can be insensitive at times. Or sometimes it's difficult for them to say how they are really feeling. I've been through it too Lana and I know it can really hurt.

I think HG is right! You go through these things when your hurt and you can either look at what that person is saying and make positive changes or if it doesn't apply become stronger and have stronger sense of who you are! If someone hurts you for their own gratification it's their problem not yours. It still hurts though!

Greta got her Christmas hairdo this am. I had to bribe her with a treat just to look at the camera!

I have to echo Kelley, Dave; that is a really pretty picture in front of the fireplace.  :)

I can imagine how much Greta hates the groomer. My ex and I had an American Eskimo ("Blizzard Bear") back when we first got married, and I have to give my ex credit: He did all of the brushing and grooming. Of course, American Eskimos are small, so it wasn't too bad.

The funny thing is, is that she loves the groomers. This dog is a big "girley girl and loves to be clean and shiny! She just makes me pay for leaving her for a few hours!

That was Purple Ribbon Peter (UKC American Pit Bull Terrier), owned and trained by Lt. Harry Lucenay.  He was in the Our Gang comedies from 1930 until 1932.  There were other Peteys before and after him, but Purple Ribbon Peter was special...
