Hi Todd,Ive used Fender Basses (and I have  a Warwick) and this feels very different, the neck is slimmer and longer and the strings are a touch closer together, but I absolutely love it, I think it looks like the nicest Bass ever made (but Im biased), of course it have the famous Ric clang if you set it right or it can sound like it did on certain Beatle tracks like Rain.
I know I will always own this and will never sell it, its a keeper.
Chris Squire of Yes has always used a Ric and he gets that trebly growl (mine can do that) of his which Ive always loved. Mine is a 4003 not 4001 which Pauls was, mine has the big sharktooth position markers, Pauls has dots.

That's lovely - really nice.

I have a 6-string Ric and a 12-string Ric - both Fireglo, so I need a bass like that to complete the collection  ;D

Actually, I used to play in a band where the bass player had one like that - looked very good on stage with that on one side and my 12-string fireglo on the other

This 360-12 sounds so good hooked up to the AC30!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm currently learning George's part in You Can't Do That.  This video has been most helpful...

Well folks Im sorry to have to say, Ive sold the Ric, it was so heavy I knew I wouldnt play gigs with it and it was too expensive to be an ornament so it just had to go, maybe I could find a lighter one...

Heres my latest (since selling the Ric) its new but its been made to look old by Fender, its called a 'road worn' Jazz bass, identical to the 50's model with nitro paint in Fiesta red, note the old look, missing paint etc  ha2ha

Its wonderful to play and sounds very vintage

Nice guitar, Kev.  I'm a fan of the "road-worn" series.  It gives these guitars character.

By the way, I bought one of these a couple of months ago...

very nice Baz :D

what brand is it ?

It's a Hercules GS414B A/G Guitar Stand, Kev.  It has a neat Auto-Grip yoke so I don't have to fuss with a strap...

http://www.herculesstands.com/Innovations/guitar.html#ags (http://www.herculesstands.com/Innovations/guitar.html#ags)

It's got special foam on the yoke and leg contact points to protect the guitar's finish.  It's a heavy and very stable floor stand.

Now I can take a picture of my 360/12C63 next to the AC30 without using the pillow.   ;)

Thanks, Kev.  And for years I wanted a solid body.  I think the Les Paul Junior is a great no-nonsense guitar and a fantastic bargain.  Made in Nashville, mahogany body, bound baked maple fretboard, Tune-O-Matic Bridge, Klusons, two P-90s and a toggle switch all for $629 new.

Nice axes, Kev!  Your Les Paul Studio 60s Tribute should sound like my Junior with its P-90s!  These are great no-frills Les Pauls for sure!

Gongratulations, Kevin, and enjoy them.
