I personally think the 2001 compilation Wingspan: Hits and History is a great collection of music, and a great introduction to Paul's solo career. But I don't think it's perfect. There are a few things I would change about it, and I was wondering, if anything, what you would change about it.

I would take out most of the singles as they are quite well known and appear on other compilations, there are so many great album tracks that never get the chance to be heard. Someone who's curious about the band are just going to be under the impresson that these songs are a reflection of Wings and Mcartneys 70s sound. Songs that should of been included

In the 70s Macca's sound was just as eclectic as he was in the 60s but when you hear the comps with the same songs again and again newer generations will never know. IMO

I don't think this poll should just be about the double CD set but should also include the dvd and book. I could go on a rant for hours about what changes I would make to make Wingspan truly WINGSpan and not PaulandLindaspan.

I really wouldn't change it. It does what it says on the tin! 'Wingspan', spanning Wings with a bit of solo before and a bit after. The history bit seems like it's probably a personal favourites. He's never put 'Give Ireland Back to the Irish' on any compilation, probably because he either doesn't agree with the sentiment anymore, or he feels it's too dated. There are plenty of compilations to buy - why not get 'All The Best' - it has a lot of the stuff you listed in the poll. Why repeat it? Isn't that what musicians are often critisised for? I think it's a pretty good introduction to Wings and his early solo work, which is what it was meant to be.

it would have been interesting if a Wings Boxset was issued with rarirties, b-sides and all that
usual stuff. overall i think the compilation was very good but ashamed not to see other great
ones on their like Old Siam Sir or Letting Go.

Yeah; I wasn't consistent. I wanted a highlight reel of Paul's solo career through the seventies using the better known tracks (and album) I liked best.

I don't mind the Wingspan album .
But i long for Wings to be represented with a true Wings compilation , to me they are an underrated band .
I would like to see the 7 albums repackaged with a second disc of rare material .
To me McCartney and Ram are not Wings albums ?

I think I could only vote for one thing to change, so I was a bit limited - could have voted for a few things to change, but my biggest thing to get off the album was playout version of No more lonely nights, cos I love the normal version so much.

I have to agree with BM. Sorry, but there are no words to describe the hideous awfulness of "Temporary Secretary." For now, in my opinion, it's quite possibly the worst McCartney song ever. But if you like it, then more power to you.

For me a couple of things...

It would only have Wings songs, and it should have more live and rare material.
