Paul McCartney guest appearances
« on: March 18, 2011, 05:00:36 AM »

I am inspired to start this topic by listening to Paul's vocal on Steve Martin's new album 'Rare Bird Alert'.

He sings on a song on called "Best Love". I like the song, very bluegrass.

I think about other Paul appearances, Johnny Cash, Everly Brothers, U2, and more.

Your thoughts on different Paul appearances?

Yes, you are right, I should have been more clear on that one. I was mostly referring to studio, but live to a lesser degree.

It was a live appearance.

I believe it was Sgt Pepper a couple of years ago.

Paul was in the song "Vegetables" by the Beach Boys (on their album Smiley Smile); he was on vegetables (literally).

Paul also played bass in Donovan's hit "Mellow Yellow".

And he and John sang backing vocals on the Rolling Stones' song "We Love You".
