Even if there was some truth in this, just the thought of reading a book about 'New York in the 1970s and 1980s' and the idea of reading a book about 'radical politics in New York in the 1970s and 1980s' is enough to have me running to the hills. The dire graphic design (in that era, how could it be otherwise?) doesn't endear me to it either.
I'll have England in the 50s and 60s thanks.
