I didn't really know where to put this thread so I stuck it here. I was wondering if anyone here has ever read any books by Bill Bryson (he's best known for his bestseller A Walk in the Woods. In America anyway, I hear in England they like his Notes From A Small Island a lot). I think he's hilarious and informative, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Well, I read your first post earlier. So does that make me a reader?

Oh, I love Bill Bryson books - and I'm not usually a reader of travelling books at all, he just cracks me up with his snide comments. I really enjoyed 'Down under' and 'Notes from a small island', and I'm currently searching for time to read 'Neither here nor there' (he visits my country, how can I not?)
