I took this photo of this statue of John (maybe it's hard to tell it's him, but it says so on the plaque) near the beach of Guardalavaca, Cuba. I was very surprised to find it there. John is honored as some sort of freedom fighter throughout Cuba. I saw two statues and several mural paintings of him (unfortionately I didn't photograph those).

(maybe done in the 60's to show how the Beatles would age in  30 years ? )

This is from 2 books by Alan Aldridge from a late 60's project. Artists around the world sent in pictures, etc of the Beatles and they were in the 'Beatles Illustrated Lyrics' books.
I have copies of these in a box somewhere. They are pretty well known books - I'm surprised no one has mentioned them before

Here's a few by a woman named Shannon who does some of the best Beatles artwork out there. I'm sure some of you are familiar with her. She's unbelievable, all of her paintings are beautiful. Her website is www.theshannongallery.com, and there's tons more on the site.
