Please Help, Trivia Question!
« on: November 30, 2004, 12:39:09 AM »

Hi all,

I am new to this board and am very happy to have found it.  For any of you that have XM Radio, there is a contest to win the new Beatles Box Set.  Just go to XM Radio's site and go to the 60's page.  Now, here is what I need help with:

There is a quiz to win the box set.  One of the questions is Name 2 songs the beatles sang partly in french.  I know Michelle, but for the life of me can't think of another one.  Can anyone help????  It's greatly appreciated

Thanks
Holly

Sun King? That one has different languages in it, but I am terrible with languages so I could be wrong.

Sun King has jumbled Spanish I believe which has no meaning. This might be a trick question, but John and George sing Frere Jacques in the back ground during the verse of 'Paperback Writer'. (verse - 'A thousand pages, give or take a few'). Besides that, if it isnt something obscure, i'm at a loss at the moment.

yes I am beginning to think it may be a trick question also.  Nothing is coming to mind and I have been searching and searching for a few days.  Oh well, I was planning on buying it anyways  :)

Thanks for trying to help, it's greatly appreciated!

I've looked at the quizz and all the other questions are quite straight forward.
So all you can do is put Michelle and Paperback Writer and see what happens...

I did put paperback writer in and since there is some french in there, I don't think they can really exclude it, but at least I tried!

Thank you all for the help, I will surely let you know if I am lucky enough to win!  There are a couple million people subscribed to XM radio and I am not sure how many of those people entered the contest.

I do talk to the DJ's on the 60's channel on a reg basis and they have all said many many people were stumped on that question though!

I will keep my fingers crossed and thanks again!
