My favorite Beatle is Paul, a very close second is John, a very close third is George and a very close fourth is Ringo. ;D

I chose John, followed very closely (almost a tie, but then I couldn't vote) by George, then Paul, then Ringo.

1. John
2. Paul
3. George
4. Ringo

Love them all though, obviously.

I could never answer this question. It's almost like asking which sibling I loved best!

I have actually gone thru phases where each has been my favorite for a period of time (Ringo less so than the other three but I do thoroughly enjoy most of his LPs/CDs and have gone to see him in concert thrice).

John was my first favorite and remained at that level for the longest period of time, then it was Paul, then George, and finally Ringo for a brief period of time. For many years now, I've been at a point where I actually like them all equally well.

I'd say John just because most of my favorite songs were written by him. But those songs would not have been the same if they had not been recorded by the Beatles, from the ideas given by other members to their musical talent.

This is evidenced in John's solo career, where the magic is not as intense as the Beatles, even though I still prefer his solo work in comparison to the other three guys.

I checked my Beatles Desert Island Disc. Out of 15 songs, 8 were John, 4 were Paul, 1 was a genuine Paul/John collab and 2 were George. So I guess I'd say John was my favourite in the Beatle era.
