Not related to the quiz, but just some musings on Facebook:
I think FB is great for keeping in touch, staying informed of events, and that sort of thing, but it has some big downsides too. Namely, it allows people to be obnoxiously passive-agressive in dealing with others. I'm always hearing about the drama of being broken up with on Facebook. It seems all you have to do is change your relationship status to "single" to let someone know that they've been dumped. That's even worse than breaking up with someone over the phone! I'm also seeing a lot of passive-agressive digs in people's statuses as well. For instance, someone might write "John Doe is cleaning up the kitchen... again! Somebody forgot to put away the dishes." You know, that sort of thing, but usually a little more snarky and petty than that.
And then, of course, there's the whole "de-friending" thing. I've de-friended a few people myself: a former friend who stabbed me in the back, and some people who really don't know me, but added me because we have the vaguest connection to each other. But I think it's really cold to just de-friend someone you've known for a long time for no reason at all. There are also those people who de-friend you whenever you have the slightest little argument.
Anyway, it's just something to think about.
