I asked because they are slightly different. I'll do it then.

Please folks, if you're starting a new thread, can you at least check on the first page of threads to make sure it hasn't already been covered. Thanks.

Does anyone have any objections if I merge this with the thread called whats everyones favourite beatles albums in order?

But this one doesn't have a poll...

No, but then you didn't put every album in the poll. And there's a lot of threads for this kind of thing.

My sentimental fave is '.. Pepper...', but I consider their best to be 'Rubber Soul'. They were really clicking and still working as a team.

 :)

my favourite beatle albums of all time!  ;)

3. The Beatles ("The White Album") ( Apple, 1968 )
4. Revolver ( Parlophone, 1966 )
5. Rubber Soul ( Parlophone, 1965 )
6. Please Please Me ( Parlophone, 1963 )
7. Help! ( Parlophone, 1965 )

9. With the Beatles ( Parlophone, 1963 )
10. A Hard Day's Night ( Parlophone, 1964 )

 * Magical Mystery Tour (U.S. only. Released as a Double EP in the UK) ( Capitol, 1967 )

^ MMT is an album I listen to a lot, and if I were to rank it among the albums it would fall somewhere in the 1-3 range.  I love every song on it.

Why do you consider Help! and With The Beatles better albums than Sgt. Pepper's?

They're more "danceable," if that's a word. So far as pop music goes, I like it loud, fast, visceral and with hooks or a lot of groove.  8)

Whole albums start to finish are listed above, although there would be some major changes if I was considering them based on where my favorite songs come from.

Oh, at last there is someone who also has Let It Be at the top! Though I prefer Let It Be Naked.

I have a hard time with Abbey Road and Let It Be. I can't rightfully say one is my favorite with the other coming in 2nd place because they're both amazing - in fact, in the desert island thread I said I would have to just do a behind-the-back decision because I wouldn't be able to pick one without going insane.

And yes, I prefer Let It Be Naked, too.

I'm honestly surprised at the lack of love for Let It Be. It's perplexing how many fans (even band members) consider it towards the bottom of their list.

I absolutely 100% agree with you!  :) I love your words: I wouldn`t be able to pick one without going insane! The same with me.
But I will tell you a secret: on a subconscious level I prefer Let It Be Naked. Do you?
However, here people downgrade not only Let It Be but also Abbey Road. Impossible to comprehend.

Oh, absolutely. I know the band was unhappy with the production on the album, and Naked I think gets it right - it sounds live, like they're just sitting in the studio playing, and that's exactly what they were after. I like the sequencing better, too.

I know the band recorded the songs with a bad vibe and sent them out To Phil Spector with a bad vibe, but Naked almost makes the sessions sound... Fun, I guess, like the band was enjoying themselves. If you slept through all of the Let It Be movie and only woke up to watch the rooftop performance, you wouldn't think they were ready to strangle each other and this mood is caught with Naked (purposefully, of course, since they used rooftop takes in the editing of these tracks).

If the band had to end, this was a great album to go out on. I would kill for another stripped down rock, bare & raw album like this, though, especially considering some of the songs that could have been pulled from what eventually became the post-1970 solo albums.
