Actually, it was these three plates from John and Cynthias home Kenwood. Bought at a Beatles auction this spring.

Oh, that is neat! I'm envious.  :)

They weren't that expensive actually. Including shipping to Sweden it was something like 160 pounds.
I'm more into this kind of stuff nowadays. I don't buy many records now, more "owned memorabilia".
I've got a piece of the living room carpet from Kenwood, and also a tile of Brian Jones swimmingpool from Cotchford Farm, where he also drowned back in 1969. That last one is kinda weird.

Well, the provenance is good, i can trace it back to Kenwood. Serious auction firm etc.
Let's put it this way, never buy this kind of stuff on eBay  roll:)

late ;D

Might be the best CD box set ever.  No BS compression or anything else added to the sound.  No loudness war casualty here.

I was very surprised by the difference compared to the stereo remasters. Thought it might be hype, but there's good stuff here.

I'm sure the price was much more reasonable this way. I can't believe how much the Magical Mystery Tour box set has come down. It's 40.00 less now than when I put it on my Amazon wish list.

I got it for 150,98 € from a third party vendor through Amazon.de, which is about 69 € less than Amazon's list price. So, I guess that's OK.

Thanks for the heads-up about MMT Kelley.  At $40.00, I couldn't resist!

I could talk about this set all day.  From the "honest" sound, to what looks to be exact replica mini-LP sleeves (I never owned original Parlophone LPs), this is a treasure.

That's OK alright.  I paid $350 when I pre-ordered it in August 2009.
