TO ANYONE WHO TAPED HALFTIME, GOT SOMETHING GREAT TO SHOW YOU!

Go to Hey Jude, and go to where the whole audience is singing.

OMG, that's so funny. I was just gonna mention that on the Paul Super Bowl thread! He looks like he's thinking what the hell am I doing in the middle of all these Beatle freaks! Ha!

I know! He wasn't WITH anybody, so why? LoL, I loved it! The power of that song overwhelmed him I gues  ;D

I almost felt bad for the guy, I thought it can't be that tough to Nah Nah, etc. with the rest of the crowd, but he didn't catch on, at least the few seconds they showed of him. Sad thing is, that's probably his 15 minutes.

LOL! I know! Instead though, he looked around like, "Uh..."

On a side note, I get goosebumps listening to the audience singing to it.  The power!

Yeah, no kidding. I can't wait to see him this year. It'll be my second time. CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm seeing Bob Dylan next month and I'm actually excited about that. Even though I was never THAT into his music. I have this thing about seeing these legends before they die! I guess the Stones are next.

He talked about it at the Suuper Bowl. During the pregame show. Terry Bradshaw or someone asked him about it.

Here's some info I found:
Paul McCartney Playing 38 Date North American Tour
Thursday, January 27, 2005
Sir Paul McCartney will take advantage of media focus surrounding his halftime performance at Super Bowl XXXIX on Feb. 6 to announce his upcoming tour of North America, sources tell Billboard.com. The Beatles legend will play 38 North American cities beginning Sept. 16 in Miami and running until the end of November.

Tickets are expected to go on sale the last week in February. McCartney last visited North American in 2002 as part of a world tour that grossed more than $126 million and drew nearly one million fans.

McCartney is working on a new album for Capitol but no timetable has been set for its release. As previously reported, the artist has collaborated with producer Nigel Godrich (Beck, Radiohead) and multi-instrumentalist Jason Falkner on the set, which will be his first studio album since 2001's "Driving Rain."

The touring landscape will be relatively crowded with superstars this fall, as U2 will be on the second U.S. leg of its Vertigo tour, and the Rolling Stones also are believed to have an outing in the works.

Paul announced he was kicking off his US tour in Miami in September and it would end in LA sometime in November during pre-game.

I saw Dylan a few years ago with Paul SImon, and I was there mainly for Simon, knowing Bob's penchant for unexpected and uneven performances.

He came out in a SUIT, and played his ASS off!  I never realized he played lead guitar and he smoked!  He kept trying to smile, which came out more like a death grimace or something, but by God he was making the effort!

Simon turned out to be dry and a little boring, too polished.  I was amazed Bob blew me and the place away.  Hope he's still doing what he was doing that night, you'll love it!

Glad you liked it Chuck. I had the exact opposite experience. Paul Simon was incredible. I caught the two duets Dylan and Simon did together (horrible, 'Sounds Of Silence' was ruined due to Dylans voice) and a few solo tunes, but I just couldnt take anymore and had to leave. His voice was so bad that I would have prefered a nail gun to the temple.

Simon just phoned it in, and I love his music (and him really) to pieces.

Did Dylan do his rictus smile attempt when you saw him too?

I don't recall his voice being an issue at all that night (of course I don't recall dinner either).

I don't think Dylan's voice will be an issue to me. I think what will impact me more is that I'm seeing an actual music legend. Not too many people will be able to in 5 to 10 years from now. He's an original and I'll be happy just to have the experience.  ONE MONTH!! I can't wait!

Bob Dylan is an absoulte genuis and a magnifient poet. You are both truly lucky.

We should start a thread on him, he was on the Sgt. Pepper's cover.

I guess with his tour starting September 16th, that nixes all the speculation that he would do a 40th anniversary show at Shea in August. By the way, September 16th is my birthday, so anyone that wants to get me a ticket and a flight out of Milwaukee, I'd be happy to accept.
