So - we know of JoJo from the song Get Back.
first verse here:
Jo Jo was a man who thought he was a loner
But he knew it couldn't last
Jo Jo left his home in Tucson, Arizona
For some California grass
I was in the car over the weekend and listening to...wait for it...some Beatles. Anyway, Back in the USSR comes on and in the bridge of the song here:
(Well) The Ukraine girls really knock me out (Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
They leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout (Ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
That Georgia's always on my mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mind
Oh, come on!
I never knew it was "Georgia's always on my ..."
I always heard it as "JoJo's always on my ..."
So I got home and looked up the lyrics to confirm (sadly I was wrong for 50 or more years) and heard JoJo.
If/when I confirmed I was going to post here about JoJo and ask what the fascination was for Sir Paul and some random person named JoJo
BUT alas, I now have to grapple with different lyrics than I've heard for half a century...
Anyone else? Any other lyrics you've misheard for years and years?
