No problems. Throw me a link with a Foreigner song you like.

Sure. I know not everybody likes them, but I think their rfirst three albums rock hard. Goes down hill quick after that though. Here's one from each of their first three.

Foreigner - Starrider (+ lyrics)

Lonely Children - Foreigner

Rev On The Red Line - Foreigner

Foreigner's first album was a great debut record!

I remember buying it in 1977 when I was 15!

Hey Ovi, throw me up one of your favorite Pixie tunes or two. I've never really gotten into them before.

If you haven't liked what you heard on the radio (and they did get plenty of airplay in the late 80's on American fm's, no?), I doubt some more obscure gems will convince you otherwise. They're a bit like Nirvana in that respect - you either like their shtick or you don't.

But anyway, here's one song from each of their first 3 ablums:

Pixies - Where is my Mind (Fight Club Soundtrack)

Pixies-Debaser

The Pixies - All Over The World

Tk, I appreciate you taking the time to share the songs, though I don't really like any of them. Too generic and bombastic in a 70's hard rock kind of way for my taste.

You mean they were actually good at some point?

I can tell you didn't grow up in the 80s. Foreigner is pure nostalgia for me!  :)

No problems. Thats why we are lucky there's more than one band to listen to. I'm not keen on the Pixies I don't think. Too raw maybe for my taste. No biggie.

I seriously don't remember hearing them on the radio, but I probably did.

You don't have to do anything for me. It's just that the thread title says 'Greatest trilogies: consecutive studio albums'...

I'm quite happy at the moment thank you, but it has nothing to do with you modifying your list. Post whatever you want, for all I care. It's just that if we'd all post random things that don't have anything to do with the thread's subject, this whole forum thing wouldn't make much sense, would it?

Ovi

Do you have to practise posting unfriendly things or does it come naturally ?   ha2ha

Let me expand a bit, if I wanted to point out somebodies mistake in a list, I would say something like - 'Hi --------, great list but I think you may have made a mistake with (blah blah blah)....'

I would probably follow this by making some comments on his/her selections and giving my opinion, I think your short, sharp & unfriendly reply pointing out my error wasn't well thought out.

But hell, maybe Im being too sensitive  roll:)

btw I did the list from memory of buying all these albums in the 70's and my brain cells are fading fast   :(

Sure. I know not everybody likes them, but I think their rfirst three albums rock hard. Goes down hill quick after that though. Here's one from each of their first three.

I used to play Foreigner a lot Todd, seen them twice, great band but another one that went downhill after the 70's. I was attracted to them as I always was a fan of Mick Jones (from Spooky Tooth) and Ian Macdonald (from King Crimson) both fantastic musicians.

The 3 70's albums really did rock hard and were fantastic but sadly (for me)  Agent Provocateur and its big boring hit wasn't my kind of stuff. Theyre all rich though having sold 80 million albums so what do I know  roll:)

I just remembered with the AP album, is when my wife 'started' to like them  ha2ha

Starrider is a fantastic song imo.

First of all, I have no memory of ever saying something rude to you before, so I have no idea what you mean by the first line.

Second - yes, my first reply could've been more friendlier, I admit that. I was just a bit confused, in the same way you would be if someone said that their favourite consecutive Beatles albums are Please Please Me, Rubber Soul and Let It Be. You as well could've admitted to being wrong and write something like "My bad." instead of the provocative "I omitted the 3 just for you" (frankly, I still don't really know what you meant by that).

But anyway, this whole thing's silly, so I apologize and I hope we can leave it at that.
