Well with Song Survivor going on over in another section of the board 'In My Life' easily got the most votes as best.

I see that since I started Song Survivor, this has turned into 3 best songs! I'm honoured. Can't see why some people have voted on here, but not on Song Survivor?

In My Life is the best and the worst is Michelle. Yeah, not kidding. Even though I was named after this song, I hate it.

Best: 'Nowhere Man' - tough choice, of course, but how effing perfect is this?

Worst: 'What Goes On' - I grew up with C&W, so it's not that. I find the poor guitar work layered on top to be annoying.

I was surprised to find 'The Word' as so many's worst. It's a strong contender for best with me. A lovely message with ballsy energy and a very clever instrumental arrangement.

'Run For Your Life' is beautiful musically, but the grossly misogynistic lyrics bothered me even back in 'the good old days'.

I think we're talking about the UK version of the album here!

Hee! That got me thinking... for Song Survivor, if anyone gets the whole list-- their 1,2,3 and worst = the final results-- should they get a prize?

I had the set on With The Beatles. Can't be bothered to check the rest! What would you say was a suitable prize?

Interesting vote this week, btw.

That's why I hesitated mentioning it-- it's more work for you.

For a suitable prize I was thinking along the lines of a graphic or something. Take your SSG graphic and splash over it: "Winner of Most Average Opinion! for /album name/" or something silly like that. Or "Winner of the Finger on the Pulse of the Forum" award or something.

EDIT: Interesting vote! Interesting...
