I also think that Blow Away is an excellent song! Where does it come from?

I won't be buying it , George warranted a career spanning double cd .
I will spend my money on a couple more solo albums instead Brainwashed for one , and can someone tell me which album Blow Away is on ?

'Brainwashed' is a fantastic album. You wont be dissapointed.

I'd be interested in buying it. I never was much a fan of George's solo music, so it will give a better insight to his songs and perhaps if I like them I shall look further to get more of his albums
I think you're the target audience, K-E! I hope you enjoy it!

DaveRam, Brainwashed is excellent. I also enjoy George's eponymous album. "Soft-Hearted Hana" is one of my favorites! I personally love the dark, slinky version of "Not Guilty" and "Faster" has captured my heart.

What a lovely link, Dana! I had fun paging through the track list. When I got to "I Don't Want to Do It", I admit I teared up. It's a very appropriate song to include on this stellar collection. Thanks for posting this.

I remember watching a movie that had 'Blow Away' playing and I cant remember what movie it was though. All I can remember is somebody walking on the beach when it was playing and for some reason I think Dudely Moore was in it, but maybe i'm just sleep deprived right now.

Must find out.

Makes me think of all the John "Greatest Hits"

Shaved Fish
John Lennon Collection
Lennon Legend

I read some comments recently that Dhani is not happy about this. This was an EMI decision.

It seems he wants to release other stuff. Read the thread on the Steve Hoffman forum, see if you agree.

Thanks so much for that link, Gary910! It was fun to hear some passionate George fans trading speculations. I'm going to hope for a new release after the Scorsese movie-- that would be good timing.

You know, it very well could be, but I cant swear to it. I looked at the soundtrack for '10' and nothing though. I havent found anything on the net as for a movie the song is listed, but I know for a fact that I heard it. It was the first time I ever heard it if that tells you how long ago it may have been, but I knew it was George and I loved it. They played the song two different times actually on the movie, but I have no idea what it might be.

Maybe you thought of the song Dream Away, which was in Time Bandits.

Ooh, good guess.

Does this ring a bell? (give the intro about 30 seconds...)

My Brainwashed and George Harrison CD should be here in the next few days .
Got quite a good deal at Amazon both for under 20 pounds , which includes postage and packaging , would have cost me nearer 30 quid from HMV .
Can't wait been promising myself George's Brainwashed for quite a while now (thumbsup)

You will enjoy it. I think it is almost as good as Cloud Nine.

It is great the way an album can help you. I feel the same way about Ringo Rama. I feel very special about it.
