Better listen to it first!

Oh, OK -- maybe I didn't listen far enough. Back to the thread!

....

Hm, not to my exact "taste," ha ha, but I actually do like the song. (And, of course, if I like it, that's pretty much a guarantee my kids won't  ;)  )

Great idea! I'd been threatening Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus," but I think I like your idea better.  ;D

That would be a good choice! My son and I were actually discussing this song the other day. He heard it on the Seneca Nation of Indian's radio station, which plays quite an eclectic mix. You might hear the Beatles one minute then Tiffany. I've got another idea for you; one that used to make my daughter cover her ears and run out of the room. It didn't help that the pastor at church camp played it over the PA system every morning at 7:00.

That is a great one, Kelley -- hmmm, so many choices. I will have to download one onto my MP3 player (I refuse to use my phone unless I have to) so I can embarrass my daughters.

That Seneca Indian station sounds neat; I like eclectic stations like that. They're hard to find!

Now I know for a fact that the Petticoat Junction girls didn't eat that stuff, just their cousin Ellie Mae. But if I thought I could look like any one of them from eating that way I might consider it! Those would have to be some potent vittles don'tcha know!  And someone else would have to do the killing, skinning and cooking.

Granny would have put some meat on them girls.  Like she did on Ellie Mae...

Beverly Hillbillies-Clampetts Strike Oil 1/3 (1962)

1:45   "Lookee-here.  She's done popped the buttons off her shirt agin."
"Well, Ellie Mae carries herself proud with her shoulders throwed back."
"It ain't her shoulders that's poppin' these buttons."

5:53   "Watch them buttons, child!"

That's because they needed extra food in the house for Jethro.

Jethro could eat a whole crate at one sittin'!  And that's after eatin' several helpings of deviled owl eggs, smoked deer meat, grits, and cornbread with possum jelly!
