Thank you for the rare clip of Leon.

He looked so radically different when

I saw Elton John open for him

at the Fillmore East in 1970.

It was a tie, though, as to who did a better show that night.

Silence Is Golden

Perhaps my fave tune period! (Well, at least after In My Life) It's pure ear candy.

I was floored when Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons did it originally.  I still haven't recovered since the Tremeloes recorded it.

It's a "guy song."  I've been in the same situation posed in the song and felt the same way.  So we, as males, can relate to the song.  Femalers have their own unique set of emotions and I wonder if they would feel all gooey listening to Silence Is Golden.  It's a good poll question.

Thanks for posting the live 1967 version.  I watched it about 20 times yesterday.  I saved the video so I'll no doubt be watching it often.

Bizarre, I heard this on the radio today, first time I've heard it in years. It was on a "Bob" or "Jack" station that prides itself on originality of playlist. Maybe it's all a farce, maybe it's a national playlist.

Speaking of farce, his mic technique leads to wonder if he isn't lip syncing?
