Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields are great songs -
and I love them. As for videos... I'm not thrilled or overjoyed every time I
see my favourite band on screen. I like to see them
performing live and not singing on play-back
(Hello, Goodbye, for instance - although costumes are
great!) But - I like that play back a lot more than Penny Lane
/ SFF videos. Simply put - videos are way behind the songs...
But, I admit, video for Walrus is crazy
(and interesting), almost great as the song itself!
And I like Something because they dedicated
it to their girlfriends / wives. Also, I adore Hey Jude
(live on TV).
But - video for Your Mother Should Know is interesting
for first 50 seconds, when they walk down the stairs... The
rest of it is boring - just girls swinging left-right with their dresses!
I mean, first you are focused on Beatles when they synchronously
come down (which is great), and when they "vanish" at 0:48 - you
expect something would happen - synchronous dance, exciting
choreography... but nothing happens - just girls doing left-right and
some walking...
