My favorite cover song from I Am Sam is You've Got to Hide Your Love Away covered by Eddie Vedder.I remember my mom used to have the soundtrack from I Am Sam and I would always ask her to play that song while we were in the car.It's funny because then I didn't even know who the Beatles were.I think Eddie Vedder did a great job covering You've Got to Hide Your Love Away and I really like his voice in it.

I love the soundtrack but I hate the movie. One of the worst I've ever seen.

How can you say that? The movie was pretty good and Sean Penn's performance was one of the best I've ever seen.

I just hated the movie. I thought Penn was absolutely terrible, actually one of the worst roles I've ever seen a major actor play. I didn't buy it for a second. And I thought the script was just plain stupid. Rogert Ebert summed it up best: "you can't have heroes and villains when the wrong side is making the best sense."

I actually saw the movie for the first time about a year or so ago. Then yesterday I had an urge to see it again, so I got it from the library and happened to get the soundtrack while I was there, too. I wasn't even looking for it, I just walked by the CDs and it was in front of a row and caught my eye. What're the odds. I knew it was being talked about on here so I figured I'd get it and give it a listen. So I listened to it, and I'm Looking Through You by the Wallflowers is definitely my favorite track. I've always loved the song anyways and they do a great cover of it. Plus, I got into Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers recently and just love them. His voice is so amazing. Two of Us probably ranks second for me. And after seeing the movie a second time, I'm like "Why don't I just own this movie?". LOVE the constant Beatles references, plus it was a cute story. It made me laugh one second and cry the next.
