Title: John Lennon - Out the Blue
Post by: Lennon93 on February 10, 2012, 01:35:53 PM
Lennon's best (solo) song! What you think?:)

Out the Blue - John Lennon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMmWSpUnVF0#)

Out the blue you came to me
And blew away life's misery
Out the blue life's energy
Out the blue you came to me

Every day I thank the Lord and Lady
For the way that you came to me
Anyway it had to be two minds
One destiny

All my life's been a long slow knife

I was born just to get to you
Anyway I survived long enough
To make you my wife

Like a U.F.O. you came to me
And blew away life's misery
Out the blue life's energy
Out the blue you came to me

Power of (true) love!

I love this song too and it's on my top 10-list of John's solo-career  ;yes

The music, the voice, everything sounds good... just another underrated song IMHO  :(

I always loved the guitar on this song,it makes the song really pretty and I like how his voice is soft.I personally don't think it's John's best solo song but it's pretty good! Also I wanted to say that I restart the song so many times because I love the beginning guitar intro,I usually can't listen to this song without restarting it at least ounce  :)

It is a good one and i'd say it ranks in my top 20 or so John tunes.

I hadn't heard this until now. It's lovely. The converstion that was added at the end really got to me...I wasn't expecting it.

Yes, one of his best.

And thank you for clearing up a misheard lyric for me. I always thought it was "All my life's been a lonesome night".
