the only overrated song i can find is maybe Hey Jude, and besides that just gets annoying, i mean who really wants to listen to 3 mins of song and 4 mins of NA NAs?

From your point of view the same goes for I Want You (Shes So Heavy) more or less: riffs, singing the title and then noise (white, but noise).
But IWY hardly can be overrated,... is underrated "in oh so many ways"...

However its one of my favourites from the guys. ;D

None of those songs are overrated. I Wanna Hold Your Hand is the Beatles at their most 'immature', but it was a great hit in America.

"In My Life" is a better song than "Yesterday."

Since we're going with overrated tunes, I think the most overrated the boys did was 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. Everybody yells masterpiece, but all I ever hear is a drawn out, monotonous, bore. If John and Paul wrote it, it would have been considered just another song.

^ I hear ya. Never been a fan of Claptons solo either. Though I think I like it more than you do.
Help! is my choice. The arrangement and melody are uninspired. In my book their weakest single (despite the lyrics)

I really like While My Guitar Gently Weeps, favourite song off the White Album. It is played on the radio quite a bit, but I wouldn't say its overrated.

I can take it or leave it, but I wouldn't say it's overrated.

I think, All You Need is Love (even though its not on the list) is quite overrated. Great message but otherwise....

lucy in the sky with diamonds superb verse and imo a crappy chorus maybe he should have let mccartney right the chorus? saying that it sounds like a mccartney-ish chorus should definitly have kept the depressing-minor feel in the chorus instead of happy major chords imo :)

Lucy in the sky is one of their best songs IMO.... The way John used words, the music, everytime I hear it I feel I go to another world, even when I listen to Sir Elton's cover of the song.
I also like In my life because of the message, again John use of words...
and the list goes on.... But Yesterday isn't exactly in my Top 20 Beatles' Songs....

I'll be a dissenting voice and say that I think "All You Need is Love" is a wonderful song! I think it's perfect, fun and happy, and deserves its accolades. Cheers! :)
