'Butchering The Beatles'
« on: August 05, 2007, 01:58:52 AM »

I really can't stand Beatle tribute albums or covers thereof, but this one is at least interesting. Good heavy renditions, some better than others.  Yngwie is a guitar hero of mine, I love Doug Pinnick from King's X, Tony Levin who has played with everyone including JL.  Some really weird pairings:

01. Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Duff McKagan, Mikkey Dee - Hey Bulldog
02. Lemmy Kilmister, John 5, Eric Singer - Back In The USSR
03. Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton, Craig Goldy, Rudy Sarzo, Simon Wright, Scott Warren - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
04. Billy Idol, Steve Stevens, Blasko, Brain Tichy - Tomorrow Never Knows
05. Jeff Scott Soto, Yngwie Malmsteen, Bob Kulick, Jeff Pilson, Frankie Banali - Magical Mystery Tour
06. Billy F. Gibbons, Vivian Campbell, Mike Porcaro, Greg Bissonette, Joe Fazzio - Revolution
07. Jack Blades, Tommy Shaw, Doug Aldrich, Marco Mendoza, Virgil Donati - Day Tripper
08. John Bush, Stephen Carpenter, Mike Inez, John Tempesta - I Feel Fine
09. Doug Pinnick, Steve Lukather, Tony Levin, Steve Ferrone - Taxman
10. John Corabi, Phil Campbell, CC DeVille, Chris Chaney, Kenny Aronoff - I Saw Her Standing There
11. Tim "Ripper" Owens, George Lynch, Bob Kulick, Tim Bogert, Chris Slade - Hey Jude
12. Kip Winger, Bruce Kulick, Tony Franklin, Aynsley Dunbar - Drive My Car

Probably not one that will be played every day unless you like your Fabs hard and heavy, but not a bad one to toss into your party mix, if just for the reaction.  Details from Amazon below:
