Hurricane Ike
« on: September 14, 2008, 09:20:58 PM »

Who knew, living in Arkansas, with no "ocean front property" that WE could get a pounding from Hurricane Ike.
Yep, people, last night, we got hammered by the aftermath of Ike.  Winds up to 60 miles an hour.......trees blown down, shingles off roofs, and we lost power at 1:00am this morning.  Finally got power on at 3:45 this afternoon.  I was "thisclose" to loosing everything in my big freezer on the back porch, but all is fine.  Not for the fridge in the house.  Everything, what little, I had in the freezer part is lost and most I can salvage from my fridge.
My next "investment" I'm making after getting hit by not only Ike this week but Gustov last week.................a generator..............
