That's how his son described it "lucy in the sky with diamonds" and im pretty sure that he wasn't on acid.

I'm pretty sure this drawing wasn't made by a four year old kid. No way.

Even if he was the son of Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Picasso and Dali together. I saw the picture again this afternoon and suddenly I thought that it's impossible for a four year old kid to drawn something like that. Even if he was the son of two artists.

Hmm - you might be right Bobber. Lucy is clearly holding a guitar which is blasting out notes. Funny how that's never been mentioned (whether it was done by a 4 year old or not) And that stylised star looks a bit too good.
Sandra should be able to give a considered opinion.

My oldest son is almost five and I admit he's not the most talented painter in his class. But no kid in his class could make something like that. But even older children in his school don't draw like this until they're about eight or nine. If Julian was/is a very talented young man, let's say he could have drawn this at the age of six or seven imo. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds was recorded on March 1st and 2nd, 1967. John had the song finished by then, that's obvious. Let's say he wrote it somewhere in January or February 1967. Julian became four years old in April of that year. So he wasn't even four years old when he should have drawn that. No way.

Then again, John used to say that Julian was very advanced for a kid his age.
