I was looking for this a while back and I could only find a very blurry version. I should have looked again two years ago, I guess.

Me, too. He was funny and he knew how to pick great songs. But I didn’t realize that True Love wasn’t a really old song. George was in good company when he decided to record that. Well, mostly good company...Sha-la, sha-la...sha-la, sha-la. ;D
Dean was great! I watched him every week, in living color. I loved the way he made his entrance.

I like both of these rockabilly flavored versions but those Everly Brothers harmonies always win. I’m glad Ricky didn’t put in any sha-la, sha-la...sha-la, sha-las like the other TV kid. ;D
I like this other standard that George did, too.

I think that’s my favourite cover of an old song by George.

Ricky Nelson would never do that. He was very talented and matured to be a fine singer. We lost him before he could reach his full potential...

Watching and listening to George doing these two standards is a lot of fun!

Yeah, it’s one that pops into my head and I have to listen to it as soon as possible. I wonder if other people have that kind of obsession about certain songs?

Yes, Ricky was great and gone far too soon. I was probably the only kid in fourth grade who knew the story behind Garden Party. But that’s what happens with the youngest.

It is! I had a regular George Fest the other night, clicking on every video YouTube served up.
