Hi BeatlesForever, what's up? I've never really been into Deep Purple, I only know their radio hits. However, I do enjoy David Coverdale's voice a lot and I've listened to the album "Burn" a few times because he was the singer in Deep Purple at the time. It was pretty good, I think I'll give it a listen right now, actually. "Mistreated" I recall as being one of the best songs I've ever heard at the time (about 1 year ago or so). I'm wondering if I'll still like it that much.

I'm still enjoying having the whole week off work, however, I've been busy cleaning house and getting ready for Thanksgiving on Thursday. What have you been up to 5th Beatle? David Coverdale had some great moments with DEEP PURPLE, I like the songs "Burn" and "Mistreated" as well. One of the all-time greatest concerts by DEEP PURPLE, with David Coverdale, was at the California Jam 74 at Ontario Speedway on 6 April 1974. There's some bootlegs on the show on both CD and DVD but I managed to find a great DVD copy of the show with outstanding picture and sound quality. ABC actually filmed it during prim time which would turn out to be a major mistake. DEEP PURPLE was on fire that night, so much that Ritchie Blackmore decided to destroy three of his best guitars and had his guitar technician light the amplifiers on fire. The b**** of it all is that the guitar technician poured too much gasoline on the amplifiers, when he threw the match on the amplifiers, it exploded with a loud bang causing fire everywhere and Ritchie Blackmore flying in the air. Here is the ending of DEEP PURPLE'S famous set at the California Jam 1974 at Ontario Speedway on 6 April 1974. This gig was shown on primetime TV by ABC, the ending is considered by many music critics, the real story of Rock legend. The ending would also result in DEEP PURPLE getting a huge lawsuit by ABC. ABC also vowed that DEEP PURPLE will NEVER return to America again, of course that never happened.  Here it is, I wish that the picture and sound quality was better.
