Can someone please tell me the lyrics to the Anthology track Three Cool Cats? I've been to so many lyrics sites, and they all get the lyrics wrong in some way or another. Some of them cut out the whole verses, even! Ever noticed how it always seems like the lyrics websites are listening to a different song to what you are? They always get little details wrong. That's why I'm asking real people now. Please help me!

Three Cool Cats
Writers: Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller; lead vocal: George Harrison
Three cool cats
Three cool cats
Are coming up in a beat up car
Spitting up a lift of candy bar
Talking on about how sharp they are
Three cool cats
Three cool chicks
Are walking down the street
Swinging their hips
Splitting up a bag of potato chips
I think cool cats really did flip
Three cool chicks
Yeah three cool chicks
Well up came that first cool cat
He said, "Man look at that
Man, do you see what I see?"
"Well I want that middle chick"
"I want that little chick"
"Hey man save once chick for me"
Hey, well three cool chicks
Three cool chicks
Well they love like angels from up above
And three cool cats really fell in love
But three cool chicks
Made three fools out of three cool cats
Three cool cats
Well up came that first cool cat
He said, "Man look at that
Man, do you see what I see?"
"Well I want that middle chick"
"I want that little chick"
"Hey man save one chick for me"
Yeah ah
Three cool chicks
Three cool chicks
They look like angels from up above
And three cool cats really fell in love
And three cool chicks
Made three fools out of three cool cats
Three cool cats
Three cool cats
Three cool cats
Three cool cats, oh three cool cats.

I'm gonna listen to check, but can you explain 'Spitting up a lift of candy bar'?
I'm not criticising, but I just don't see what it means.

=3 Just like we have no idea what "crabalocker fishwife" means, lol.

Three cool cats...[/quote]
Well, I appreciate your effort, and this is in some way more accurate that typical lyric sites. But the line "Are coming up in a beat up car" is in all the lyrics I've seen, and that's not what George sings. It's more like "Are ... on the corner in a beat-up car...". I know a corner is mentioned in there, but I just can't catch that word he says.
And I think Three Cats "did they make flips for Three Cool Cats". I'm sorry for picking on minor mistakes, but I'm a stickler for perfect lyrics. Thanks.

Non Beatle version, might help? :-/
THREE COOL CATS
Three cool cats, three cool cats
Parked on the corner in a beat-up car
Dividing up a nickel candy bar
Talking all about how sharp they are, these
Three cool cats
Three cool chicks, three cool chicks
Walkin' down the street swingin' their hips
Splitting up a bag of potato chips
And three cool cats did three big flips for
Three cool chicks
Well, the first cool cat
He said, "Man, look at that!
Man, do you see what I see?"
"I want this little chick!"
"I want that little chick!"
"Hey, man, save one chick for me!"
Three cool chicks, three cool chicks
They look like angels from up above
And three cool cats really fell in love
And three cool chicks made three fools of these
Three cool cats
Three cool cats, three cool cats, three cool cats
Threeeeeeeee cooooooool caaaaaaaaaaats

Do you ever get the feeling of Deja Vu? I think I've read this exact conversation before. Weirdness...

Ohhhh.... So Three Cool Cats did three big flips for Three Cool Chicks!!! Well, that makes sense. Sorry, Mairi.
Well, that helped, but George doesn't sing "Parked on the corner in a beat-up car", neither.
-
Well at least we're getting nearer the real lyrics that make sense.
I'll listen later for the car line.

No he doesn't, but I don't know what he sings!
Sounds like
'Well up and on the corner in a beat up car
Splitting up a lift of candy bar...'
later on there's
'Well I want that middle chick
I want that little chick
Hey man save one chick for me'
The rest is pretty much OK.
