There's a list on the website. A lot from TNG.

Oooh, KE and I were watching a Perry Mason episode with our parents (we're a bunch of detective/whodunnit fans), and Leonard Nimoy was in it! Too bad he turned out to be, um, the murderer... but it was still good to see him ;D Mum was the first one to spot him... she went, "ooh, it's Spock!" ha2ha

He looked like this (excuse poor pic quality):

Haha, sorry, not really Star Trek-related, but just a bit of fun :)

Hey, HG (if you're reading this)... I finally put in my ST costume order from your seamstress. My final choice of an outfit wound up going in a different direction from my original thoughts, however. Regardless, I hope it'll be cool. :)

I'm sure it will be, Penny Lane.  What's she making for you?

Here are generic pics of it from her eBay listing (obviously it'll be scaled down for a female frame):

It's Dr. McCoy's sickbay uniform (plus the black undershirt and a hidden zipper).  :)

McCoy's medical tunic!  An excellent choice.  As usual, she's particular to detail.  It looks just like the original.

Now you can see the detail of the hidden zipper.

The original, now old and a bit faded:

Thanks, HG, for your kind words on my choice of costume. It means a lot coming from another McCoy fan. ;D

BTW, how do you store your own costume when it's not in use?

Nice pics too; what a wonderful piece of sci-fi history.

It's not in use a whole lot more than it is!   Not much chance of me being reactivated by Starfleet.  ;D

I keep it on one of those wood hangers in the closet, off on the end by itself so as not to crush the velour.

I just asked because I'm not sure how to store mine, so I wanted to get your thoughts. :)

I've been a Star Trek fan since its inception.  Over the years, I've tried to keep an open mind about all its incarnations.

I've decided that they're all fluff.

You sound like my husband; he's a hard-nosed TOSer. But to be honest, I haven't been able to fall in love with TNG the same way I did with TOS. TNG's not a bad show, but it just feels so bland and polite in comparison. However, I've just started on Voyager and it seems okay so far.

TOS gets picked on for being "cheesy" but there's something about it that's so special. I love the characters and their chemistry with each other, the thoughtful dialogue and stories, and the whimsical costumes and settings. And somehow it does manage to be intriguing and cerebral without drowning its viewers in excessive technobabble.

Well put, Penny Lane.  I hate technobabble!

eg...

Captain Jean-Luc Picard: If we could get to the root command, we can introduce an invasive programing sequence through its bio-chip system, and then return it to the
                                  hive.
Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge: The Borg are so inter-connective, it would work like a virus.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: Which would infect the entire collective. We could disable their neural network at a stroke.
Doctor Beverly Crusher: Infect it? You make it sound as if it's a disease.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: Quite right, Doctor. If all goes well, a terminal one.

Gimme this any day:

Dr. McCoy: That's right, and in this derivative, mixed with alcohol it merely deadens certain nerve inputs to the brain.
Scott: Oh, well, any decent blend of Scotch'll do that.
Dr. McCoy: Oh? Well, one good slug of this, and you could hit a man with phaser stun, and he'd never feel it, or even know it.
Scott: Does it make a good mix with Scotch?

LOL, Scotty and his alcohol! But yes, I appreciate that the people on TOS can actually have normal conversations with each other.

I love The Tholian Web too; it's one of my favorite episodes!
