I promise to to tell the truth & nothing but the truth, because that's the way it is. I admit I came off as angry, crazy or something the very first time I was on here, but I believe I can makeup for all that weirdness, so to speak, easily. I'm just here as a dedicate Beatles fan, I have been one for a long, long time & I'm here to give my opinions or post something to get some reaction. I'm not here to cause any trouble at all, I promise that to the members & to the moderators. I looked like a loud mouth looking for attention, I'm not going to do that anymore. I want to apologize to anybody I might have supposedly offended early on, even though I won't back down on my posts or my opinions. I'm here to talk about the Beatles, nothing but the Beatles & other things as well, without causing WW3 on this forum.

My my. And I have to moderate this? I watched my two little boys (2 and 4 years old) having a fight the other day. They both wanted to read the same book and each pulled on one side. Finally it teared apart and they were both having half of the book. They were happy with it though, happy that their argument finally had come to a conclusion. The only problem was that they both only knew half of the story. One didn't know how the story started, the other one didn't know how the story ended... And so they got it together and had me read the book. Funny how they got together and I was only watching. But hey, that's how little kids solve their fights.

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS
For me, one of the best things about this forum has always been that the moderators don't interfere. If a couple of members have a problem I've always thought it's best to leave them to sort it out between themselves. Unless the posts descend into total abuse which might cause offense to other members I don't usually interfere.
It certainly makes for lively posts!
I think we are all mature enough to walk away and not get drawn into petty name-calling and mud slinging - just don't reply to it and it will soon stop - the thread dies, it's as easy as that!
But if some members REALLY cannot get on, I would urge them to use the "ignore" feature in the Member Center.
However, if someone is deliberatly baiting you via PM messages can you please forward these on to either me or Dmitry and we will decide what action should be taken.
To be honest - I can't stand all this sh*t on here recently - come on people, it's supposed to be fun!! (flower)

I hope this is the end of things-I'm tired of this crap. I feel like I'm back in Junior High School again. The Moderators don't do anything to the bad kids and it takes the Principal to do something about the problem. The reality is that SomeDude will be on good behavior for about 5 minutes until he becomes his usual a**hole self because it's in his nature. It's just the way he is. I can't believe his schoolmates haven't b**** slapped this twat. I've done my share of mudslinging at idiots like Somedouchebag, and I know it doesn't do any good, it's just venting. I love the Beatles. They've been my religion since I was 7 years old, and I like to think that I have some knowledge to share, but I have better things to do than listen to little rich punks from Massachusetts who think they have a clue while they masturbate to U2. I'm here to talk about the Beatles, who are the greatest rock band that ever was & ever will be. I might ruffle some feathers now & then, with my opinions, especially as solo artists, but it's no big deal.

Sounds promising and I agree with what some people posted before, that it takes a big man to apologize. I however haven't forgotten how you answered to several of my earlier attempts at a truce with totally unnecessary insults, so it'll take a while before I'm convinced that you mean all of this. I hope it'll happen though. It's up to you.

I think leaving is a little unesesary. I mean, why does everyone always feel like they have to leave just because there are some people around that annoy them. There's always going to be annoying people. They're everywhere. You can't get away from them, so you might as well just ignore them or annoy them back. This forum is pretty decent. There are a lot of great people here. I think they make it worth staying.

I too like to see Wayne back. I always thought he came up with excellent ideas for threads and looked forward to reading what he had to say.
Re. JF, I hate to see him go, because he too often had really interesting posts when he wasn't getting angry.
IMHO most of the posts tell alot about who we are as people. I don't think posters realize how much they're revealing about themselves with their posts.
Pardon the old AA adage, but for every one finger pointing out there are four pointing back at yourself.
I know I can come across as pompous and longwinded and I prefer paragraphs to sentences, but I'm trying to get off my high-horse (and didn't mind when JR or TMOGF would knock me off it every now and then).

well look at the turnout that came about because of the tiff. its jumpstarted conversations again and hopefully this influx of new responses will still for awhile. we may have lost JF for the time being but at the same time, more people have come back and started talking again.

It's really a pity that a difference is being made between kids and oldies. I still believe the main reason why we are all here is The Beatles, although there's times when it seems to be of no value at all. There was no internet, let alone a DM's Beatles Forums, when I was fourteen years old. I would have loved it. To read, write, learn and contact other Beatlesfans of my and other ages. I think it's nice to note their point of view now, the way the look at The Beatles and their music. I'm no part of a battle between youngsters and oldies. I'm trying to understand what the young members are thinking and doing and what their lives look alike. Sometimes I think I can catch up. Sometimes I don't and let it go. But the fourteen year old from now grew up with internet and yeah, a DM's. Maybe this whole forum started with a bunch of old Beatlesfans, who were glad they finally had found each other. Why look at new, young people as if they want to take this place over? I really don't get it. I know what's the story behind tk and jr and I understand why he will be missed. I will miss him too if he decides to keep away, but I suspect it's a one way ticket.
However, I would love to have some longer periods of love and peace around here. The whole thing about juniorsfarm is really a shame to my opinion. There were other opinions, but he choose to leave. And now, Dwarf? Come on....

i came here originally because i was getting into beatles and discovered this site and thought "holy freakin crap! look at the sheer amount of knowledge on here" and i still read up on some of the new threads but to me there are some that just repeat, probably because they are new members like i was back then and i probably started some threads others had done before hand. but now, i guess im kind of bored (holy crap!) with all that there is that makes up the classic rock group/god/mantra/livelihood that is the beatles. it is a shame that ive resorted to hanging out in the non-beatles related forums. please dont blame all of us kids, its only a select few that are to blame (me included). i didnt want to start a riff here, this is not my forum and im sorry if i gave you the impression that i was taking over.

I went to Myrtle Beach back in "93" with my first wife, had a good time also but like you it was 12 hour drive and with construction 16 hours! It was like walking on the face of the sun, 108 at noon. Fams pretty good right now, expecting #3 in November. God, I need a vaction away from everything....... :D
