Pau ldoes some GREAT basswork on George's AR songs
« on: February 03, 2005, 02:42:16 AM »

GAWD, listen to that busy basswork on Something and that AWESOME optimistic sounding basswork on Here Comes The Sun.  I just realized how awesome the latter sounds.

Paul did a great job on these two songs.  Seriously.

And go Harrison!

Paul is one of the greatest bassist of all time with few equals even though he's underrated by critics next to one of his 60's contemporaries the late, great John Enwhistle.

I play Come Together main riff by starting at the 10th fret on E...and doing it there.

I'm sure it would be nice as tone goes Indy. I've never checked any official notation on this but I launch from D (5th fret) on the A string. That way I get a nice slide up to the F on the G string.

Your way sounds tidier though and keeps the fingers in the same place.
Horses for courses. Whatever feels comfortable. ;)
