Beatles memorabilia valuation day at the Royal Clifton Hotel, Southport

HOURS of standing outside the Kingsway waiting to get an album autographed by the Fab Four could earn an avid fan up to £20,000.On the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first appearance in Southport, a collectors’ firm is holding a valuation day for memorabilia collected by fans over the years.The prices of memorabilia have rocketed in recent years and the current prices are as follows:A poster hastily taken off the wall of a Beatles concert 50 years ago could now be worth up to £10,000.A treasured ticket stub kept for half a century could fetch £150A flyer, made to be thrown away, could make £600.Programmes are worth £25 to £35.
