There's plenty of those around!

 :)

Going back to Revolution 1, Francie Schwartz has claimed in the past that she and George did the "shoo-be-do-wop" vocals. Could it be those two doing the 'mama, dada' ones too? (Doug Sulpy reckons it's John and Yoko, for what it's worth.) I know they and the "shoo-be-do"s appear at the same time in the mix, but one or both could be an overdub.

Lewisohn didn't mention Schwartz in the Recording Sessions book, but in interviews she's said that she participated at the 4 June 68 session. Elsewhere I've read that she's a bit of a fantasist and is prone to talking self-regarding nonsense, so I'm not sure where the truth lies. Any thoughts (with regard to this recording, in particular)?

It's amazing that cool "new" beatles music is still coming out.
I'm exctited to hear some what other experimental music remains in the vaults.

That voice at 3:52 that says "it is that" sounds a little out of place, but
a little like John.  The rest of the song sounds very much like it's by
the Bealtes.

This is good whatever it is.

EMI have instructed YouTube to remove the video  :(

Obviously it's still out there, but I hope they're not going to get heavy with the cease-and-desists.

Do you mean the voice at around 9'42"? It's George Harrison, in the studio, responding to the tape of Yoko saying "Maybe... it's not that".

Ahhh, that makes a lot more sense.  It does sound more like George than John, but
it's just so clear and smooth.

The You Tube video I was watching had the song cut into two pieces(and the 1st half was removed), so it was 3:52 for me.
Do you have a link with the entire song?  I've only heard the second half.

.

Good thing I converted it to mp3 then. And since EMI is having it removed, does this sort of validate its authenticity? Why would they have this one removed when there are TONS of Beatles' songs/videos up on youtube? I've never seen any other Beatles song removed. Unlike say, the Rolling Stones who remove everything.

That's a great point about EMI removing the song.

They need to get their act together, and prepare another mix
of rarities for our consumption.

We are no where near scraping the barrel imo, this is quality stuff
that people want to hear.

A 'new' mix of Revolution 9 has also apparently surfaced on YouTube. Anyone know whether this has been in circulation for a while, or if it's from the same source as the Revolution 1 mix?
