What about McCartney II? ... it was a success and topped some charts and lots of fans don't like it ... so do they like Paul? (I love McCartney II)

I like Paul, but hate that album. It sucks.

As for the favorite Wings album, BOTR would be the easy choice, but i'm going with 'Back To The Egg'.

I love the production on Band On The Run & Paul's drumming is ace on it!
I still find it an amzing record as it was a struggle to make, with only Denny Laine,
Linda & Paul. no other Wings members which almost makes it a solo album!

Thats why I didnt choose it.

I picked Red Rose Speedway (and I see there's somebody else who picked that). It's the one I come back to most. Specially Big Barn Bed and Little Lamb Dragonfly are great tracks to me.

'Single Pigeon' is my favorite off if RRS, but damn, I wish it were longer.

I voted for Band On The Run ,as it takes me back always to my teenage years and a school camping trip i went on.
The only music we had to listen to apart from the radio  was an 8 track cartridge of that album .
I remember sitting in the mini-bus singing every song with the lads,  it's got great memories of that trip for me.
I also love London Town which i feel as always been underratted and it looks like no one here seems to rate it either .

You're right! It's one of the greatest. Another thing: doesn't Paul reaches one of his highest notes at the end of WHEN THE NIGHT? Anyone knows which song includes his highest note?

Sorry my english  :P

I think in this version of 'Maybe I'm Amazed' he reaches his highest note(or atleast from what I've heard). Its the last part of the song where he screams the "Yeah!!!". Definately a high note on par to Robert Plant's high notes. Makes me wonder if Paul knew when he was teenager that he would have such an amazing voice.

Well... In that version of Maybe I'm Amazed his voice a little weak... Don't you think? The original version is quite better...
And I'm sure that's not his highest note. I mean, that Yeaaaah can be really powerful, but is not a real HIGH note.
In the 1970 version when he sings ",,,and maybe you're the only woman who could EVER HELP ME...", in that part there are really high notes. In other songs like Balroom Dancing or The Pound Is Sinking, in the bridge of the latter, it's really high too. But I don't know when he sang his highest.

He does tend to struggle singing the high "yeeeah!" bit in
Helter Skelter when he plays it live these days!

I don't think his voice is weak in that version, its just that he didn't sing in that deep rock voice style anymore. His voice in the 1974 rehearsal sounds healthy and its in his prime in my opinion. If you watch One Hand Clapping he does not struggle at all with any of his notes and does not sound Hoarse like it does later on in the decade.

I know most fans picked BOTR, but Wild Life is just as great.

I agree, Wild Life is such a good album and is often looked down upon due to its poor reputation its picked up. I wouldn't say its as good as Band on The Run but its a great album.

Sorry Bobber. I snapped there for a moment. I just forgot how many people talked about 'Band On The Run' and 'Wild Life' in the same breath.  ::)
