so strange, and almost unreal...

johns death in 1980.... just sometimes when i fink about it seems unreal...im mean most people die for a reason, but john was victim of such as senseless killing, and it was john lennon! and he died for nothing....soemtimes it just seems unreal, why chapman wanted/needed to do that...its so stupid and such a waste of life...i mean, you see like brave heroes who have risked their lives in wars, ect., but john is like a remarkable figure, and his life was just cut short, just like that, and noone gained anything from his death, and it just seems so sad, and almost unreal...oh well, i hope chapman never gets out of prisin, he definatley doesnt deserve it for taking so much away from john, and the people he loved.

The truly sad part is that this goes on all the time. God-knows-how-many people are the victims of senseless killing each and every day, in various ways. Whether it's a musical legend, or a neighbour, or someone in some remote corner of the world that nobody will ever hear about. It's been like that for thousands of years.

I don't get why /anything/ like that happens, but ... constantly, people are just killed for the sake of killing or whatever. =\

No offense or anything, but do we really need another thread about John's death? Discussing this only brings up sad emotions and tragic memories.

I know this might sound a little harsh, but you actually do gain something every time someone dies. Sure, it doesn't measure up to what you lose (not even close), but someone else's death can be an inspiration to make something of your own life, to get the most out of the time you've got left.

The saddest thing of all would have been that there'd been no John Lennon.  You take what you get and we got 16 years of the man in the public spotlight.  I miss him to this day but that's the cruel coldness of life.
