THE QUARRYMEN The "Happy Birthday John!" Tour September/October 2010

The Quarrymen are touring America this Fall to celebrate the 70th birthday of their old childhood friend and former band-mate, John Lennon. Their "Happy Birthday John!" Tour will see them perform 16 shows in just 19 days! Not even the Beatles in their touring heyday performed with such intensity! 14 of their shows will feature the band in a unique double-bill with special sneak previews of the new John Lennon biopic "Nowhere Boy".

They have been chosen to perform at the US Premiere of the film in New York City and at the West Coast Premiere in Los Angeles. They are Guests of Honor at the Opening Night of the Aspen Film Festival. They will be also making a special guest appearance at New York's Radio City Music Hall at "A Night In The Life" with the Fab Faux.

The grand finale of their tour will take place in New York City on Saturday October 9th - the exact 70th birthday of John Lennon. On that night they are headlining "Happy Birthday John!" - a very special concert taking place just a few blocks from the John Lennon Strawberry Fields Memorial in Central Park. Their Special Guests include: Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Tom Chapin, Marshall Crenshaw, Mark Hudson, Glen Burtnik, Never Shout Never, Garland Jeffreys and more.
