What is psychedelic? This is a "shifty" term, but I think at the least (in the mid-late 60s) it was music that attempted to conjure up aspects of a "trip". Hence hypnotic drumming, swirling sounds, grand-theme lyrics (or, on the other hand very simple, child-like lyrics) and so on.
That's why many people would not class some of your songs as psychedelic, Frighty. Among the non-psych songs you've listed there: Glass Onion, Fool On The Hill, Good Morning Good Morning. Maybe even A Day In the Life ...!
But definite pysch songs you should have included: Love You To (as someone said above), Blue Jay Way, Flying, Baby You're A Rich Man, I'm Only Sleeping, Only A Northern Song, It's All Too Much, ....
Baby You're A Rich Man! How could I have forgotten thee?
I was also thinking of Blue Jay Way, but since there's so many that thought the song dragged a bit, I decided to leave it out just in case it would unfairly drag that collection in the polls.
As far as the definition, yea, I admit that I was a bit nervous to post this because my facts on the definition of psychadelic music isn't really that straight. I thought I had it down up there, but
.
Anymore examples of psychadelic songs, Maria, now that I'm grasping this "trip" idea?
