I think this to be Paul McCartney's final album & final tour since he's not getting any younger, even though I expect him to make ocassional live appearances afterward similiar to the Concert For George, I know some of my fellow Beatles fans don't like to hear it but I think some of them know it's true. I would like for Paul to play Helter Skelter live once & for all for his generations of fans on his upcoming tour because he shouldn't let the Manson murders back in 69 dictate to him whether to do this hard rock gem from his Beatles days.

Paul has just announced some more European dates - nowhere near me though unfortunately! :(
-
I hope he comes to America once more then, to Florida specifically :(
-
Well, if you see how energetic Paul still is on the Back In The US dvd, I expect he'll be touring for at least another 10 years... And I hope he will.
-
Mmmm... I wouldn't say 10 years... I would probably say 5. But He is in great condition.
-
I can't picture Paul touring in the next 10 years realistically speaking, much less recording & releasing a new album of original material.
-
why not mick does it....
-
I don't think MIck Jagger or Paul will be touring or releasing new albums or touring in the next 10 years.

my gereates dream is to see Paul in a live concert, doing Beatles songs and songs of his own. If i were to live such a moment, i would be the happiest man alive

I don't reckon he'll EVER give up performing and recording till he's wheel-chair bound! It's been in his blood for over 60 years! You can't just stop.
I'm sure you'll get your wish - I've seen him 5 times!
-
I think this WILL be Paul's final tour on a major scale because he's not getting any younger even though I expect him to do occasional live appearances afterward as in the Concert For George but I could be wrong about his next album being his last!!!
-
I'm telling you guys, his last tour and record will be when he's 64. I've only seen him three times, but if he is ever in a 5 to 6 hour radius, i'm there.

"only" three times?? I'm dying just to see him once!! :'(

If he tours in the US I'm seeing him no matter what

- HAHA, he's not a second-hand camper van!

BTW, I don't think this will Paul's final album, I heard it's going to be a box set.

I saw Paul on his 1993 tour and it was incredible, to say the least. I can't imagine him "retiring". Musicians never retire. They may not tour but they don't retire.

This thread is interesting looking from our current perspective

I read the subject and got worried that this next album he is about to release and subsequent next tour would be the last...phew, glad it is 14 years ago that the subject was written...

ha2ha I was going to blast Wayne for being so wrong and then I find myself doing to the same thing.
Dammit ;D

Oh wow, from 14 years ago. Lol
Who knows, maybe Paul still has 14 more years left in him, lol. Let's see if he can surpass Chuck Berry.
-
Ditto. I presumed this was a recent thread :)

album should be out sometime this summer the way he has started hinting more frequently about it, I would be ok with the 14 year old post being current, one more tour. If he announced "last" tour, imagine what prices he would be able to charge. Already expensive, the stub hub /after market would be through the roof. I'd go of course.
