Thank you Bobber!! ;)

Harrison played two solos on TTWY for the Decca audition:

The Decca Auditions - Till There Was You

But only one in the Star Club:

Till There Was You / The Beatles

As well as on the released version with the Ramírez and bongós:

Till There Was You - The Beatles

So George must have figured out the solo before January 1st, 1962...

Correct... And..., was already part of the group's repertory by the time of the Forthlin Road tapes?? Peggy Lee's álbum was released on April 1960. This means that McCartney's cousin presented him with it after that date...

The song is not played on those tapes, or it has not survived. Peggy Lee seems to have been the inspiration for Paul to put the song on their repertoire, but George's solo's are not coming from this recording.

I agree. And this leads us -once more- to the "Jim Gretty's" possibility...

This is awesome ! The anti Amy Winehouses from the mirror universe !! Very Cool!

Maybe George copped the solo from one of the jazz band guitarists playing at the Marque? I could just picture him sitting there in the front row with a Grundig tape recorder
while wearing a disguise. Maybe dressed as a Nun.  ;)
