Never seen Let it Be,

but yellow submarine is definitely my favourite.  Full of lots of little "in " jokes and quips that no one would understand unless they were familiar with the songs.  Just love it.

MMT makes me laugh, especially when they are wizards.

HELP! Is best films of the Beatles

I have to totaly disagree.
Help for me, was pretty poor.
It had little of the Beatles attitude, and was a typical high budget affair.

Hard Days Night - a great symbol for what the Beatles stood for.
Yellow Submarine - Love the dark nature and style of the whole film.

Hard Day's Night has always been my favorite Beatle movie.  It's funny how many musical acts have tried to re-do the formula without being able to pull it off (think Spiceworld.)

Watching the Beatles Anthology DVD about Help is interesting.  The guys explain that they wanted to go places like the Bahamas and had them incorporate that into the movie, even though it didn't make any sense in the plot.  The whole movie seems like a mess.

Yellow Submarine always seemed a little boring to me, but I think it's because I don't do drugs.

I like Help! because it's hilarious and I wanted to see it a long time ago but the movie is a mess.

A Hard Day's Night is the best I've seen: they were always running and jumping! It shows the Beatles acting their own way...

Yellow Submarine: I've seen this one about a 100 times, but it gets boring...The Blue Meanies are good (or should I say bad?).

I haven't seen MMT and Let It Be (yet)!

Talking about pesonal prefernces, I couldn't choose between A hard day's night and Help!. They are differente, one is sort of a documentary, and the other one is a fictional film. Both show the Beatle splaying their songs, and that's what's interesting about them.
Yellow Submarine was just to fulfill the contract they had with United Artists. Their participation in the film was almost nil, if we except their appearence towards the end.

MMT is psychedelic to me, in the sense that it doesn't have any plot, and it's just sequences or fragments stuck together at Paul's whim.

But they are Beatles' films anyway, and o very interesting.

I'm a "HUGE" Beatles fan but when "Let It Be" came out at the movies it was boring except for the parts where the boys actually played some songs! It is like you patiently waited through all the monolouge for the songs to be played! The best part was seeing the band on such a huge screen. Which was also the case for A Hard Day's Night and Help!

It has got to be HELP because number one it's in colour, and the lads look very cool in this movie! Their hair styles and the spots it was shot in make it all good! The song selection doesn't hurt either.

Sorry, I missed Let it be. I agree with apple sauce. And seeing Yoko there all the time, next to JOHN, really sucks. Why did she have to be there? Anyway, seeing JOHN makes it worthwhile!

that opening chord on Hard Days Night says it all.  That was a great movie, and although I also enjoy Yellow Submarine and the Music on Let it Be is superior, Hard Days night gets my vote.  Superb.

I like them all for different reasons. I could watch the Beatles do anything and not be bored. I've seen Yellow Submarine the most though. But I love them all. I wish there were more. Let It Be is SO interesting because it's just them being themselves. I mean how interesting to see them at work. They need to put together a DVD with all the left out footage they have of those sessions. Man would that sell bigtime.

Why are they depriving their fans of this? Who cares if they argued and stuff. They're only human. I'm sure there's a lot of touching moments as well. I can't stand the way they take their time doling everything out. I guess it's part of the reason they stay current. Jeez 30 years and there's still stuff we haven't seen or heard!!

i was reading in a music magazine, i think it was uncut, and the guy, i forget who it was, was talking about let it be and how its so depressing, but you look in their eyes, and you see this look that says, yeah, but we did all that didnt we. i thought that was so true.

I really don't get why people find Let It Be depressing. Yes it was towards the end, but they are not acting crappy to each other at all. The only time is when Paul and George have their little argument. And I'll bet they've had a million of those throughout the years. It's normal. Otherwise, they seem to joke a lot and talk about old times. I like  when John and Paul are singing Two of Us and goofing around, when they're talking about their visit with the Mahareshi, and then jamming to their old tune One After 909. Stuff like that is priceless. Man, I wanna see more!!!!

I have seen them all, and each one is pricesless in its own way. Their two first movies are special because relate to Beatlemania. But yellow Submarien is the psychedelia at its best, and so is MMT. let it be is special beacuse you can see teh Beatles at work, rehearsing, with that magis all around them...
