I'm not talking about just crying; I mean the hiccupping, heaving, sobbing kind. Two daughters plus no spouse (on whose shoulder to cry) = I'll be in the hallway during the ceremony.

Aww...when's graduation?

Still my favorite Beatles cover...
...and has been since 1968.

I like that too. It reminds me of a the lovely time I spent at my niece's beautiful log weekend home in the woods about 5 years ago. It was just me, my German Shepherd and satellite radio. I hadn't heard this song since I was little but I heard it then.

Aww...when's graduation?

June 5. You'll probably hear me in New York! (Or maybe you'll read about reports of flooding in ND.) ;D Which isn't to say I'm unhappy, just feeling the usual poignancy that comes with seeing your kids pass a milestone. But I'm a sobber, not a tissue-dabber. I've already warned my son that he's probably going to be embarrassed, LOL.

Me too, at home, but in public I could go either way. My daughter knows all about being embarrased by her overwrought mother! When we went to see Marley and Me she said "You're not going to cry are you?" I told her I wasn't going to make any promises and it's a good thing 'cos I bawled my fool head off! I did that when I watched Titanic too but at least I was home for that. LOL But I will be thinking of you when June 5th rolls around.

^^^^

I sobbed at Marley and Me, too! That was at home. Then I was choking back tears (and not doing too good a job of it) at Toy Story 3, in the theater.  ;)

I guess it's a good thing I never saw Toy Story 3! One of my worst sobfests was thanks to an episode of the TV show Designing Women, of all things. Delta Burke's character was fostering an adorable little girl and really fell apart when a couple stepped up to adopt her. But I had an excuse that time. I was pregnant with my son!  ha2ha

These must be girls movies.  I only go to the theater to see motion pictures of significant social relevance like The Blues Brothers and Caddyshack.

Those have their place, definitely! And it would be a bummer to cry at every movie but then again, the sad ones can be useful in a dating scenario.  ;)

Wonder if the cicadas will harm it Dave?  I have a blueberry bush that i'm worried about.

To the best of my knowledge we don't have them this far north. I planted a willow in 2009 that I carried down to the field in my arms and it's almost 30' now. No cicadas but... the black flies are out!  Here are some pics. First two are the same magnification

P.S. I haven't mowed the field yet. It will look much better!

Looks nice, Dave! I bet it'll be gorgeous with the hydrangea.

Today's gardening project! Transplanting some 20 Hemlock and White Pine saplings for a total of 35! We're making an evergreen wall along our lot line. It'll take a while but the price is right! The new Willow is at the end on the knoll.
Whatever happened to planting a couple of flowers!!!

And NO I didn't celebrate National Naked Gardening Day! Too many black flies!

It's south facing with some shade during the afternoon. Should be just right! I hope!
