Yeah, it's a girl. I think her name's Merry Clayton or something, but I always thought it would've been like, Marianne Faithfull or somebody. Dunno. But that's definately not Mick.

The last CD I bought was The Who Sings My Generation. At the same time I got the Hendrix Experience's Are You Experienced on vinyl. :)

So far for Rolling Stones albums I have Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile On Mainstreet, Black & Blue, A Bigger Bang and Goats Head Soup, any suggestions as to what to get next?

I like Steel Wheels (1989) ... and Voodoo Lounge (1994) was very Stoney ... compared with the last two.
I'm afraid you've still got too many good options: Some Girls (1978 ), ... ??)
Don't worry, because the weakest ones are out (Black and Blue and Goat's Head Soup)

I forgot I had Some Girls, I really liked Goats Head Soup and i thought Black and Blue had quite a few good moments. I'm thinking of getting some of their earlier 60's albums but I'm not sure which ones.

I like them too (Black and Blue was my first album from them) ...
I'm not sure which one could be the best option ... but
Out of Our Heads (lots of covers)
Aftermath (first one with only own material -his A Hard Day's Night) and
Between The Buttons (they were moving more into arty territory and away from their R&B roots)
are the best choices, I guess, ... specially Afterma_tt2

Yes, I have  ;D But I thougt you was "...thinking of getting some of their earlier 60's albums but I'm not sure which ones"... well, anyway:

I'd describe Their Satanic Majasties Request as a psychedelic album. Its recording was long and broken up by court and jail as you might know (possession of marijuana). It sounds too pretentious and a (very) bad copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It includes the only Wyman's song on an official Rolling Stones album, a song that concludes with Wyman snoring (imagine what was on their minds when they made this album  ::) ). Another curiosity is that John and Paul sang backing vocals on 2 tracks (none of them are the single We Love You).

And Its Only Rock And Roll is stronger than Goats Head Soup, really Stoney. It combines rock, soul and even reggae. Better choice than Their Satanic Majasties Request. My favourites are Till The Next Goodbye, Time Waits For No One and Fingerprint File (featuring Nicky Hopkins on piano in the three ones) tho none of them are in the best Stone style, they have their classic dirty sound and moves around a basic line: but that's what I like of them! (if you know what I mean)  ;D

My choices: Its Only Rock And Roll and Afterma_tt2
